Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu is on a crackdown for those teachers’ who begged Government jobs in Assam through fake b. Ed (Bachelor of Education) degree from West Bengal.
According to the sources, some Universities from West Bengal have been providing fake certificates of B. Ed and D. El. Ed for Government jobs in Assam. Ranoj Pegu has asked the Assam education department to verify the authenticity of the certificates awarded by the West Bengal Universities.
On Wednesday, Education Ministry said, “The matter has come to the notice of the chief minister, and so we have taken the issue very seriously.”
The complaint came from CM Office and the teachers who are service for years will soon face action towards it.
