Approx 450 ex-servicemen from all the districts of the State including World War II veterans, Veer Naris and their dependents attended the event conducted under the theme \u2018 We Connect &#8211; We Care \u2019.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A press release by PRO (Defence) stated that the event presided over by the DG Assam Rifles, Lt Gen Sukhdeep Sangwan and Sangeeta Sangwan, president Assam Rifles Wives Welfare Association (ARWWA).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other attendees were Maj Gen Alok Naresh, IG AR (South), Lt Gen K Himalaya Singh (veteran), Lt Gen L Nishikanta Singh (veteran) and other Assam Rifles officials.&nbsp; The veterans were enlightened about various beneficiary schemes including the recruitment rallies, sports quota for recruitment in AR, reservation in various educational institutes\/ hostels for their wards and extension of Ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS).&nbsp; An \u2018Open Adalat\u2019 was also conducted by officials of HQ DGAR to register&nbsp; grievances and their redressal. As part of the rally, a medical &amp; dental camp was organized for the attendees.
