Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Parliament presented the Union Budget 2023-24 on February 2.
On Thursday, Chief Minister Himanata Biswa Sarma said that Union Budget 2023-24 will directly benefit Assam with an additional fund of Rs. 10,000 crore.
Sarma also spoke about last year budget which was Rs 25,000 crore but ended up getting 29,000 crore. This year Assam CM believes that the state will surely end up in Rs 35,000 crore against the budget amount 31,950 crore.
Urban bodies to be benefitted by 61% more grant and Panchayat bodies 15% more grant.
