33/11 KV Power Sub Station in Dharmanagar

2X8 MVA, 33/KV substations were inaugurated at Dharmanagar & Kumarghat districts of North Tripura as part of AzadikaAmritMahotsav, by the Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura, Shri Jishnu Dev Varma. Shri Biswa Bandhu Sen, Deputy Speaker, Tripura Legislative Assembly, Shri Bhabatosh Das, Zilla Sabhadipati, North Tripura, Dr M S Kele, Managing Director, Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited and Shri Debashish Sarkar, Director (Technical), TSECL were present on the occasion.

A Navratna PSU under the administrative control of Ministry of Power, Power Finance Corporation Limited is the nodal agency for the implementation of the IPDS scheme. The total Project cost of Dharmanagar is Rs7.18-Cr. The total beneficiaries are 11287 whereas the total Project cost of Kumarghat substation is Rs 7.09-Cr and it will impact 8897 people and their families. It is pertinent to note that Government of India through Ministry of Power provides 85% of the total project cost. The implementation of the projects will increase the revenue of the utility. On the other hand, the load shedding and AT&C losses will be reduced thereby benefiting the people of Tripura.
