Recently the Manipur Cricket Association (MNCA) has announced a cash award for the Manipur U-16 boys cricket team including the support staff as they scripted history by winning BCCI Men’s U-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy (Plate Group) by defeating Meghalaya in the final by an innings and 35 runs which is actually great. Actually MNCA in a release said that our players have created history by clinching the first ever Full Membership BCCI Winning Trophy of the association by their grit and passion. In fact Rajkumar Imo Singh, president of Manipur Cricket Association also congratulated the team over the huge achievement, the release said.
In reality MNCA also quoted RK Imo as saying-“They have not only created history but also carved a place in the inspiration of every young cricketer who dares to achieve what is extraordinary. My best wishes to them in their future endeavours.” The association also went on to quote association secretary, Leishangthem Ronel Singh who congratulated the team by saying- “Courage and dedication are all it takes to create magic and the Manipur Men’s U-16 Cricket team has done it.”
