A public rally on Covid-19 vaccination held in Jalukie: Nagaland

To reach out to the mass in general and targeting the gathering of people at the bazaar area, public rally on COVID-19 vaccination awareness was held at Jalukie Town, bazaar area on March 12. 

A press release issued by district media officer CMO office Peren, Pezanguno Celine Secü stated that representatives from district administration, chief medical office, St. Xavier’s College Jalukie, Integrated Child Development Scheme, Nagaland Rural Livelihood Mission -Jalukie Block, Jalukie Youth Organisation and ASHAs attended the programme. 

Exhorting the gathering, president Zeme Council Nagaland, Dr. Tumda Newme, expressed his appreciation to the gathering and also lamented that the people have forgotten that COVID-19 still exists. He also mentioned that by the grace of God, the state has very less casualties unlike other parts of India and the other countries. 

Newme also appealed the gathering to take prevention as the utmost priority for nobody knows when the pandemic would end. He also urged the public to be more careful and follow strict COVID regulations and encouraged all to get COVID vaccination to protect ourselves, our family and the public in general.

The programme was chaired by block extension educator, CMO office Peren, Heitona Zeliang, invocation was offered by associate pastor, Jalukie Town Local Baptist Church, Ihusing Liegise and keynote address was delivered by DVBO/district surveillance officer, CMO office Peren, Dr. Hedungkiebe.
