Raha unit of All Assam Students Union (ASU) protested in front of the Assam State Electricity Board (SEB) office.
Criticizing the irregular supply of electricity by ASEB to Raha and its surrounding areas, AASU leader Sanjay Kakti said, ” Residents of Raha have been suffering for many years due to irregular power supply by ASEB. As there is no fixed period of load shedding here, students, the business community, industrial establishments and others are suffering due to irregular power supply.”
Later Gautam Sharma, SDO, ASEB, and Raha’s office came to hold talks with the protestors and assured the AASU workers to resolve their issues soon.
