Abu Dhabi reduces hotels and restaurants fees to boost tourism

The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi has lowered down the govt. charges related to hotels in the emirate. This initiative was taken to support the continuous growth of the hospitality and tourism sector.

The changes in fee include reduction in tourism charges for guests from 6 to 4 per cent, and also the removal of municipality charges of AED15 per room per night.

The municipality charges for 4% of the value of the invoice given to the customer/guests will remain as before, said the statement from DCT – Abu Dhabi.

The changes will come into effect from 1st of September 2023.
