Four municipal corporation workers dies while working on a drainage system in Akkalkot of Maharashtra's Solapur district on Friday. Two workers had died on the very spot on Thursday while the two others had been taken to a hospital in serious condition and died on Friday morning. After the incident, the locals blamed Solapur Municipal Corporation for their negligence.  Locals  said that the municipality did not provide the safety gears necessary for workers engaged in drainage work. A labourer was killed and several others were injured after a huge explosion followed by a fire at a chemical unit in in Gujarat's Panchmahal district.
