Actor Ajay Devgn signs MoU for film infrastructure as Gujarat CM unveils ‘Cinematic Tourism Policy’

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Saturday launched the state’s first ‘Cinematic Tourism Policy-2022’ in order to promote and enhance an ecosystem for movie production industries and to stimulate the tourism economy.The policy ambitions to attract investment, facilitate development of movie infrastructure, and beautify entrepreneurial chance and employability of early life in the movie production industry, referred to the report launched via CM Patel in the presence of movie actor Ajay Devgn.It seeks to simplify the administrative strategies and increase an ecosystem for the increase of film-related infrastructure thru public-private participation, the policy document added.

“The authorities will furnish financial incentives to feature films, documentary films, company affiliations, net and TV sequence and documentaries in all languages at 25 per cent of eligible charges of production or a given maximum restrict after they meet set criteria,” it said.

The country authorities will additionally furnish monetary incentive of 15 per cent of eligible investment for funding up to Rs 500 crore, and 20 per cent for funding above Rs 500 crore for improvement of film infrastructure, the coverage file informed.To similarly improve investment, the authorities will supply one hundred per cent compensation of registration rate and stamp duty paid to the authorities and will also grant land on lease if required.It said a state degree empowered committee (SLEC) underneath the chairmanship of the chief minister will approve projects with funding fee of greater than Rs 500 crore and mega events, and will assessment coverage and coordinate with unique departments for better and efficient implementation.
