Actor Ali Fazal’s short film ‘The Astronaut and His Parrot’ to premiere at Sci-Fi London Film Festival

Actor Ali Fazal-starrer short movie ‘The Astronaut and His Parrot’, directed by Aarti Kadav, is all set for its North American premiere at Fantasia Fest.

The festival is known as the world’s leading genre specialty film competition and will additionally screen at the Sci-Fi London Film Festival.

Ali said, “It always feels cool to be a part of something chosen at such a prestigious festival. Having the opportunity to showcase our movies at Fantasia Movie Fest and being empowered with some absolutely first-rate content from around the world.”

The actor also said: “We don’t have an administrator pushing the sci-fi style in India. Aarti is a storm.
“I’m aware of it because I’m exposing the world to sending us both into a wormhole of a sci-fi cinematic journey. At the appropriate time I guess. I’m currently working on every little piece called ‘Stargate’, but more on that later. Our film “The Astronaut and His Parrot” is a short favorite, about a father’s farewell message”.

The movie is about a space explorer whose oxygen supply unexpectedly drops to zero due to an accident. In his last moments in space, he desperately tries to send a message to his daughter by signal but to no avail. Except for a gentle parrot in a fortune teller’s stall who accepts them.

Ali will be seen in ‘Mirzapur 3’ co-starring Pankaj Tripathi and Rasika Dugal. She is all set for another international mission including ‘Kandahar’ opposite Gerard Butler and will also be considered for Vishal Bharadwaj’s ‘Khufia’ opposite Tabu.
