Actor Sushant Singh Rajput died in 2020 at his Mumbai apartment. His death was ruled a suicide, prompting an outpouring of grief from followers and Bollywood alike. In a new interview, Sushant’s sister Priyanka Singh says that the moment she saw Sushant’s lifeless body, she realized it was not suicide.
On June 14, 2020, Sushant passed away at his Bandra residence. The CBI was brought in to look into various aspects of the actor’s death. The Enforcement Directorate and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) have conducted separate investigations into his death.
In an interview with India News, Priyanka Singh said, “I am a crooked lawyer myself and I have dealt with cases of dowry suicide and other gruesome deaths – eyes swollen, tongues sticking out and discharge from the body. In such cases, my brother is something like that. Wasn’t. A few days later I entered the room. I looked up at the ceiling and realized that he couldn’t do it. I appeared on the ceiling and realized that he couldn’t do it. I noticed the area where they say he was hanged. But, the distance between the mattress and the fan was no longer up to Sushant’s height. There is no distance.”
Priyanka added, “Since 2019, Rhea Chakraborty’s existence begins to crumble as soon as she enters her life. For the first time, there was a problem between me and my brother. It was all done within six days.” When asked if he thought someone sent Rhea into his life on purpose, she said, “Yeah, sure.”
Rhea and Sushant were in a relationship when they were found dead. A few days after her death, Sushant’s father KK Singh filed an FIR accusing Riya of abetting suicide and money laundering. The case was once transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation under the Enforcement Directorate and the Narcotics Control Bureau investigating the allegations of money laundering and narcotics respectively.
In September 2020, Rhea and her younger brother Shouk Chakraborty were arrested by the NCB. The two were sent to Mumbai’s Byculla Jail, where Rhea spent a month while Shouk got his bail three months later. Last year, a Mumbai court ordered the return of rear laptops, mobile smartphones and various gadgets that were seized during some stages of the investigation.
Sushant Singh Rajput became a household headline for his work in Ekta Kapoor’s TV show Pavitra Rishta. He dated his co-star Ankita Lokhande for several years before breaking up. In 2013, Sushant entered Bollywood with Kai Po Che! After that, he acted in videos like Detective Byomkesh Bakshi!, Raabta, MS. Dhoni: The Untold Story and Chichhore. Chichhore won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi after his death.
