After recovering from COVID, Suriya joins the set of director Pandiraj

Actor-producer Suriya on Thursday took to Twitter to share his excitement of being able to resume work after making a full recovery from COVID-19. “Feels good to be back on sets!,” tweeted Suriya while sharing a photo from the set of his next with director Pandiraj.

In February, Suriya was hospitalised after testing positive for COVID-19. After getting discharged, he was under home-quarantine for a few days. Suriya has now joined the sets of director Pandiraj’s untitled film, which is being bankrolled by Sun Pictures.

On March 18, Suriya took to social media to post a picture which was taken on the sets of his upcoming film. Tentatively titled Suriya 40, the film’s shooting is currently underway. In the photo, Suriya can be seen holding a pistol in his hands.

Sharing the photo, Suriya wrote, “Feels good to be back on sets! @pandiraj_dir @RathnaveluDop @immancomposer @sunpictures @AntonyLRuben @jacki_art @anbariv #Suriya40 (sic).”

Suriya took to Twitter in February 2020 to reveal that he had tested positive for the novel coronavirus. He also urged everyone to follow the safety rules while venturing out. He had to be admitted to a private hospital for further treatment.

After spending a few days in the hospital, Suriya was asked to quarantine himself at his home. On February 19, he tested negative for the novel coronavirus.

Suriya was recently spotted along with his wife Jyotika and his other family members at a school opening. He was last seen in director Sudha Kongara Prasad’s Soorarai Pottru, which released directly on Amazon Prime Video on Diwali 2020.
