Air India cancels two Tel Aviv flights in wake of Hamas attack on Israel

Air India has cancelled a flight named AI139 which was scheduled to depart from New Delhi on October 7 at 3:35 pm and reach Tel Aviv airport in Israel at 7:05 pm, in the backdrop of surprised attack done by a Palestinian Islamist Group Hamas on saturday morning.

Another flight AI140 which was scheduled to depart from Tel Aviv at 10.10pm and reach New Delhi at 7am on Sunday was also cancelled. 

“An Air India Flight from Delhi to Tel Aviv on 07 October 2023 and the return flight AI140 from Tel Aviv to Delhi has been cancelled in the interests and safety of our guests and crew,” a spokesperson of Air India said.

“Passengers are being extended all support, as per their requirements,” the airline added.

The attack made by the Hamas has resulted into the death of 40 people and more than hundred people have been injured as the mob infiltrated from Gaza Strip through air, land and sea. Benjamin Netanyahu(Israel Prime Minister) in retaliation declared war against Hamas and said Hamas will have to pay a price.
