Air India Express has further expanded its network by introducing Agartala, the capital of Tripura, as its 32nd domestic destination. The airline launched daily direct flights from Agartala to Guwahati and Kolkata, along with new routes connecting Hyderabad to Guwahati, Bengaluru to Vijayawada, and Bengaluru to Indore, all of which commenced operations on Sunday.
The addition of Agartala strengthens Air India Express’s presence in the northeastern region, providing 14 weekly flights from the city with convenient one-stop connections to major hubs like Delhi, Chennai, and Bengaluru.
Kolkata plays a pivotal role in this expansion, with Air India Express now operating 124 weekly flights from the city, offering direct connections to 12 destinations, including Agartala. The Kolkata market is poised to benefit from increased connectivity, especially with enhanced links to northeastern states like Tripura, further integrating the region into the national air travel network.
