Akasa Air expands in flight menu with gourmet meals, healthy options and global flavours

Akasa Air has introduced a new selection of inflight food and beverages under its Café Akasa service, combining Indian regional flavours, international culinary influences and health-focused options to enhance the passenger experience.

Announced on October 7, 2026, the airline’s fourth Café Akasa menu since commencing operations features new offerings, including Chicken Pulimunchi Sushi, Tandoori Soya Wrap, Grilled Chicken Steak, Vietnamese Chicken Salad and Asian Chicken Sandwich. The selection also includes Kids Sky Treats, a specially curated combo for young travellers.

The beverage menu introduces Pepping Sea Buckthorn, featuring the Himalayan berry, alongside Colombian Brew South Indian Filter Coffee and unsweetened coffee. The airline said the expanded selection caters to vegetarian and non-vegetarian preferences, offering choices ranging from light snacks to more substantial meals.

Naarayan T V, Chief Marketing Officer of Akasa Air, said the new menu brings together culinary influences from India and abroad, alongside protein-rich, health-focused and indulgent options, to make inflight dining a more memorable part of the journey.

Café Akasa also offers festive and regional speciality meals during occasions such as Onam, Durga Puja, Diwali and Christmas. The airline said packaging for all perishable meals is recyclable and paper-based, while its wooden cutlery is biodegradable.

In Kolkata, the expanded menu could appeal to passengers travelling from the city by offering greater variety and convenience, particularly for travellers seeking regional flavours, international cuisine and healthier meal options. The menu is available across Akasa Air’s network, with pre-booking through its website, mobile application and travel agents.
