Akasa Air launches loyalty programme Akasa Elevate on fourth anniversary

Akasa Air has launched Akasa Elevate, its first loyalty programme, coinciding with the airline’s fourth anniversary, as it looks to strengthen customer retention and reward frequent flyers through a range of travel benefits and faster tier progression. The programme allows members to earn Elevate Points on eligible flights as well as ancillary products and services, while offering personalised recognition, priority services and exclusive privileges across four membership tiers. The airline said members can qualify for higher tiers through either eligible flights or spending, making progression more flexible. Customers will also earn additional rewards on eligible direct bookings and ancillary purchases, while benefits extend to seats, baggage, meals, priority services and travel flexibility. Premium members will receive dedicated customer support and enhanced airport experiences.

Akasa Air has also introduced a limited-period Retro Claim facility, allowing passengers who travelled with the airline on or after April 1, 2026, to retrospectively claim Elevate Points after enrolling in the programme. Speaking on the launch, Akasa Air Founder and Chief Executive Officer VinayDube said the programme reflects the airline’s customer-first philosophy by offering meaningful rewards, seamless experiences and personalised recognition while supporting its next phase of growth focused on operational excellence and differentiated customer experience. Since commencing operations in August 2022, Akasa Air has served nearly 30 million passengers and has become the fastest-growing airline in Indian aviation history. The carrier has also become the first Indian airline to induct more than 40 aircraft within such a short period, highlighting its rapid expansion across domestic and international markets.

In Kolkata, the launch of Akasa Elevate is expected to strengthen the airline’s appeal among business and leisure travellers from eastern India. As competition intensifies on key domestic routes from Kolkata, the loyalty programme could encourage repeat travel, improve customer retention and enhance Akasa Air’s competitiveness in the region through added value and travel rewards.
