

All government and government-aided offices and institutions will remain closed on September 01, as a mark of respect to Pranab Mukherjee. The state home department took to Twitter to make the announcement.
“As a mark of respect to the departed soul of former President of India, Pranab Mukherjee, a glorious son of Bengal, GOWB is keeping all government and government-aided offices and institutions closed tomorrow- 1st September.”
Meanwhile, the Central government has announced a 7-day state mourning following the death of Pranab Mukherjee. During the state mourning, from 31 August to 6 September, national flag will fly at half-mast on buildings across India and there will be no officia lentertainment, said Ministry of Home Affairs.
