Amit Shah Chairs All-party Meeting, Seeks Views On Covid-19 Management.

India registered more than 10,000 cases for the third day in a row and is the fourth worst-hit nation by the COVID-19 pandemic currently. As the infection shows no signs of abating worldwide, experts are looking at how we can revamp the existing means of education, work practices, healthcare and transportation to cope with this.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will hold all all-party meeting today to review the management for coronavirus in the National Capital Region, which includes Delhi and parts of Uttar Pradesh and parts of Haryana. The meeting, an official note said, will be held at 11 am in the North Block. The parties invited include Delhi’s ruling Aam Aadmi Party, the Congress, BJP, Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party and Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party.
The meeting follows the strictures of the Supreme Court on Maharashtra, Delhi and Tamil Nadu — states with the highest incidence of coronavirus.

“Union Home Minister will hold an all-party meeting to review the management of COVID-19 situation in the National Capital Territory of Delhi at 1100 hrs on 15th June 2020 (Monday),” the Ministry of Home Affairs said on Sunday.

Shah, along with Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan, on Sunday had a meeting with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Lt Governor Anil Baijal. Following the meeting, Shah announced a slew of measures to contain the coronavirus spread in the national capital including ramping up of testing and door-to-door health screening.
