Andhra Pradesh: Seven workers died of suffocation in oil tank

Around seven workers were killed due to suffocation(to die from lack of oxygen) while cleaning an oil tank in a factory in Andhra Pradesh, said a police official on Thursday. The tragedy happened at G Rampet around 7 am.

An eyewitness confirmed media persons that at first an individual went into the oil tank and then the next person followed when the first one did not come up. In the same way, the other five workers entered into the oil tank and died one by one.

The people died were recognised as Narasimha, Jagdeesh , Rama Rao, Prasad, Banj Babu, and Krishna Sagar, as per local media reports.
Family members of the deceased stated that the factory management did not gave proper security gear to the workers.
