On Wednesday, Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption team’s investigation a sub-inspector from Nagaon Police station was caught red handed allegedly accepting bribe.
The accused is identified as Suruzul Haque sub-inspector of Nagaon Police station.
According to the sources, the inspector demanded bribe for giving relief to the complainant from old pending case.
The Anti-Corruption team of Assam is on investigation. From last month reports the team arrested two government employees in bribe case.
