Apple is intensifying its efforts in the artificial intelligence (AI) space by reportedly developing a ChatGPT-like answer engine. ChatGPT, owned by OpenAI, is widely popular among consumers and businesses for its conversational AI capabilities. Interestingly, Apple already collaborates with OpenAI to integrate ChatGPT with its own AI systems. According to Mark Gurman, Apple has created a new team named AKI (Answers, Knowledge, and Information) tasked with building a proprietary ChatGPT-style search experience.
Despite these moves, Apple has yet to convince users of its AI prowess. Features once promised with Siri are already available on some Chinese smartphones but not on the iPhone. While Apple is known for perfecting products before launch, this time the wait seems longer than expected.
