Cultural programmes and a community feast marked the 52nd Si Donyi Hilo festival of the Tagin community celebrated in Lumro village, Naharlagun, Arunachal Pradesh. The event attracted a large gathering in traditional attire, with State Home Minister Mama Natung as the chief guest urging the youth to preserve their cultural heritage. He announced government initiatives, including the establishment of Gurukuls, aimed at safeguarding indigenous traditions. Awards were presented to competition winners, and a memorandum for flood protection work at the festival ground was submitted to the minister.
