Arunachal Pradesh Governor, Lt General KT Parnaik (Retd), has extended heartfelt greetings to the members of the Indian Armed Forces in anticipation of Armed Forces Flag Day, which will be observed on December 7. In his message, the Governor urged the people of the nation to honour the sacrifices made by the armed forces and offer their support to the families of martyrs, disabled soldiers, and Veer Naris (wives of martyrs).
The Governor emphasized the significance of the day, which has been observed annually since 1949, as a time to express gratitude to those who protect the nation’s freedom and security. “This day serves as a reminder to honour the gallant heroes and acknowledge their sacrifices,” he said. Lt General Parnaik also appealed to the people of Arunachal Pradesh to contribute generously to support the Armed Forces and their families, underlining the importance of showing solidarity with those who serve the nation. He further acknowledged the crucial role of the Armed Forces in safeguarding the country’s sovereignty and urged the younger generation to draw inspiration from the patriotism and heroism displayed by both retired and serving personnel.
“Let us ensure that their legacy lives on in our hearts and actions,” the Governor concluded, stressing the enduring spirit of the Indian Armed Forces.
