The Paralympic Association of Arunachal (PAA) has admitted promising para table tennis player Beti Wallong to a private school in Itanagar, giving her an opportunity to continue her education while receiving regular sports training.Wallong, who belongs to the Puroik community of East Kameng district, is an orphan. Recognising her talent and determination, the association has stepped forward to support her education and sporting career by arranging her admission to Delhi Public School (DPS), Itanagar.
With the admission, Wallong will be able to pursue her studies while benefiting from structured coaching and training facilities to develop her skills in para table tennis.The PAA has also announced that it will bear the entire cost of her education and sports training. The association said the initiative reflects its commitment to ensuring that talented para athletes are not held back by financial hardship or difficult social circumstances.Officials said the support is aimed at helping Wallong realise her potential and build a strong future both in academics and sports.
The association expressed gratitude to PAA chairman Takam Pario for his continued support and leadership in promoting the welfare, education and development of para athletes in Arunachal Pradesh.PAA said it remains committed to identifying and nurturing talented athletes across the state by providing them with opportunities, guidance and the resources needed to compete at higher levels.
