Lt General KT Parnaik, the governor of Arunachal Pradesh, met with troops stationed at various points along the Line of Actual Control in Tawang. During his visit, he assessed their well-being and preparation. The governor directed the troops to remain vigilant and uphold the honor of the Indian Armed Forces while protecting these sensitive regions. Governor Parnaik had led the Indian Army’s 4 Corps for almost a decade. Governor Parnaik instructed the troops to instill a sense of security in the local populace and enhance the bonds between the military and the towns. Major General Karamvir Singh Grewal, the General Officer Commanding of the 5 Mountain Division, accompanied the Governor on the tour and kept him up to date on the latest developments on the LAC. Earlier, the Governor lay a wreath at the Tawang War Memorial to honor the 1962 war martyrs. The Governor praised the 190 Infantry Brigade, which is part of the 5 Mountain Division, for preserving the heartfelt recollections of the courageous soldiers’ heroic sacrifices and encouraging the spirit of patriotism throughout the state.
