Arunachal’s deputy CM attends Yangte’s silver jubilee Nyokum Yullo celebration

At the great Nyokum Yullo Silver Jubilee celebration in Yangte, Kra Daadi District, which commemorated 25 years of the Central Nyokum Yullo Celebration in the area, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein was there. The occasion was a colorful exhibition of the long-standing customs of the Nyishi community, signifying solidarity, pride in one’s culture, and ancestry. DCM Mein expressed his sincere congratulations to the Yangte people and underlined the significance of conserving Arunachal’s native customs and culture.

Mein promised ongoing support for cultural development in the state and reaffirmed the government’s dedication to maintaining native languages, tribal customs, and traditions. He declared the approval of money for the building of an open hall and cultural podium at the Nyokum Yullo Ground in Yangte in order to enhance Nyokum Yullo celebrations and encourage community activities. To mark the Silver Jubilee of Nyokum Yullo in Yangte Circle, the celebration committee prepared a special festival memento called “Ane Yangte Mor-Pale,” which DCM Mein also issued on the occasion.

Several notable visitors attended the event, including Zilla Parishad Chairperson Charu Menia, Kra Daadi Deputy Commissioner Charu Nili, Urban Development, Land Management, and Civil Aviation Minister Balo Raja, as well as other high-ranking authorities and local leaders. The Nyishi community’s profound respect for its customs was demonstrated by the traditional ceremonies, cultural performances, and communal feasts that honored the Silver Jubilee celebration.
