Assam and Mizoram border disputes report submitted on Feb

On Wednesday, Mizoram Home Minister Lalchamliana said that his government has already submitted its claim about its territory, villages, and ethnicity of the people within that area to Assam on February 13.

The Mizoram state has included a list of villages and its boundaries, the states’ people share’s with Assam.  According to the submitted report, three districts of Mizoram- Aizawl, Kolasib, and Mamit share a 164.6-km-long border with Assam.

The last border dispute meeting between Assam and Mizoram was held here in Guwahati, November 22. And both the states had decided that Mizoram would furnish the list of villages, their areas, geospatial extent, ethnicity of the people, and other relevant information within three months to support its claim.
