Assam CM in Manipur to restore peace meeting

Manipur violence started on May 3, 2023 following a ‘Tribal Solidarity March’ in the hill districts against the Meitei community demand for ST (Schedule Tribe) in the state, Manipur.

Many security forces have been deployed in the state since the violence but the peace in the state haven’t restored yet.

Due to the surge in the violence, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswas Sarma has decided to meet Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh and other MLAs of the state, there.

Sarma will visit the state and will have discussion to resolve the ongoing crisis:
