Assam Chief Secretary, Ravi Kota on Thursday met Border Security Force (BSF) additional director general, Sumit Sharan and held substantive discussions on border management and the evolving security dynamics in the region. The meeting touched upon aspects such as the evolving political situation in neighboring countries and the complexities arising from varied border geographies. The interaction also covered strengthening border check-post infrastructure and the importance of sustained coordination between the state administration and border guarding forces towards ensuring security, stability and effective border governance in Assam and the Northeast.
