Few days ago DGP G.P Singh in the direction of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS) was initiated in Assam for all police personal including IPS/APS all DEF/Bn/Organisations.
The scheme was initiated specially for those who are unfit in the service. Now Assam DGP G.P Singh has come up with new update from the scheme.
According to DGP, those who Body Mass Index (BMI) happens to be above 30 will be offered another three-month extension to reduce it. “All those who are in the obese (BMI 30+) category would be offered another three months to reduce weight (till November End) and after that VRS (Voluntary Retirement Scheme) option except those who have genuine medical grounds like thyroidism etc.
And also announced those who will fail to do so by November will be provided retirement from its service.
