At Thrusadi, Assam Director General of Police (DGP) Bhaskar Jyoti Mahant held a meeting with State Director of Secondary Education Mamata Hojai along with representatives of five organizations including All Assam Tanjim Madaris Qawmia, All Assam Talimi Taraqi Board, Madrasa Education Board Al Hafiz and others. Private madrasa boards said the meeting was held to provide information about their institutions to the state government by December 1.
According to sources, Bhaskar Jyoti Mahant (DGP) said that action against the radicalization of madrasas has been initiated and private madrasa boards will have to fill a ceremony and provide details of land details besides maintaining a ledger.
