The Government of Assam and Tricog Health have launched the Heart Health Management (STEMI) program to combat the increasing prevalence of cardiovascular diseases. This strategic move aims to combat the increasing burden of heart-related ailments and elevate preventive cardiac care across the state.
The government in Assam has launched a Hub and Spoke model to improve cardiac health, focusing on quick diagnosis and treatment of severe heart cases. The initiative, which has been successful in a pilot implementation study in 10 health facilities in Kamrup Metropolitan district, reflects the government’s commitment to proactive health management. The Heart Health Management Program (STEMI) in Assam uses Tricog Health’s technology to establish a comprehensive system for heart attacks. The program uses a cloud-connected 12 Lead ECG for rapid detection and interpretation by medical experts.
The program also includes a digital platform for care coordination and analytics. The “STEMI Protocol” is created by a state scientific committee led by Dr. Pranab Jyoti Bhattacharya, HOD, Cardiology, Guwahati Medical College and Hospital. This initiative is a significant step forward in improving public cardiac health in Assam, facilitated by government and healthcare experts’ collaborative efforts.
