The first meeting of the Regional Committee for West Khasi Hill District will be held on October 14 under the leadership of the Minister for Public Health Engineering (PHE) – Renikton Lyngdoh Tonghar.
Tonghar said that “We will consider the views and recommendations of the committee members and concerned stakeholders, who have a wealth of knowledge on border issues. We hope they will provide us with valuable input.”
Also, all traditional heads of 39 villages, who have expressed their desire to join Meghalaya, were also invited to the meeting.
