Assam Rifles Commander donates chairs and hearing aids to ex-servicemen in Nagaland

The Commander of Assam Rifles recently donated chairs and hearing aids to the Assam Rifles Ex-Servicemen Association in Kohima, Nagaland. This gesture underscores the organization’s steadfast commitment to enhancing the quality of life for its former members beyond their active service. The donation ceremony held in Kohima garnered heartfelt appreciation from ex-servicemen, who expressed gratitude for the continued support provided by Assam Rifles. The provision of hearing aids was particularly significant, addressing critical health needs among elderly veterans and ensuring they have essential resources for a comfortable life.

“We are dedicated to standing by our retired personnel, and this donation reaffirms our commitment to their well-being,” stated the Commander of Assam Rifles during the event. “Understanding the challenges they face, it is our duty to support them in every possible way.”The donation of chairs further highlights Assam Rifles’ holistic approach to welfare, ensuring ex-servicemen have access to practical and comfortable resources. This initiative not only focuses on medical necessities but also on enhancing everyday comforts that significantly impact the lives of veterans.

Earlier this month, on July 5, Assam Rifles demonstrated their commitment to community welfare by organizing a cleanliness drive in collaboration with local residents at Yangnomphai and New Lajang Village in Manipur’s Chandel District. The initiative aimed to improve drainage and sanitation systems, promoting a healthier environment for the local communities.
