Assam Rifles organize various programmes

Jalukie battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (North) observed “national girl child day” at Assam Rifles Public School (ARPS), Jalukie.

According to PRO HQ IGAR (N), the occasion was observed from January 21 to 26 with an aim to nurture the capabilities of girls and their importance in the family and society.

Assam Rifles in collaboration with Child Line Peren 1098 under Ministry of Child and Welfare organised a lecture for students of ARPS and ways to approach the child line agencies in need of emergency. 

The children were also educated about various schemes by the central and state govt for their wellbeing and development.

Meanwhile, the battalion also organised a youth meet on January 26. Deliberate discussions on education, job opportunities and the present army recruitment rally were held. 

Information on recruitment rally was also briefed in detail. A total of 37 youths attended the youth meet.

Jalukie Battalion conducted a felicitation ceremony wherein five students of St Xavier’s College, Jalukie who were enrolled and trained for a month by Assam Rifles cleared the final merit for selection into CAPFs.

The selected candidates were Hito Kappo (BSF), Salomi Baxla (BSF), Chiengniemong (AR), Keshiha(CRPF) and John Rasui (CRPF). It may be noted that SSC is the primary examination in India for selection into any kind of CAPF.
