Assam to hold ‘Chintan Shivir’ for three days

The Assam government will organize a three-day ‘Chintan Shivir’’ next month for its ministers and senior officials to discuss various issues and finalize the future course of action.

According to a Cabinet statement shared by Sarma on his official Twitter handle, the proposed ‘Chintan Shivir’, chaired by the Chief Minister, will be held on September 24-26 and will be attended by all Cabinet Ministers and Senior Chief Secretaries.

The notes added, “It will deliberate on the numerous number of unsolves issues and formulate a future plan to track the issues,”.

The Cabinet has approved the construction of workshops and technical laboratories at a cost of Rs 307.22 crore in 39 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in 27 districts and 22 Polytechnic Institutes in 19 districts.

It will provide an opportunity to 20,000 students every year to learn new technologies and prepare them to meet the needs of the industry, it added.

Also, state government employees will get ‘Special Casual Leave’ on February 9-11 next year, followed by Sunday, February 12.

“Employees may spend time with their surviving parents/in-laws,” the cabinet noted.
