Various auto-rickshaw, cab and taxi unions in the national capital went on strike demanding CNG subsidy and fare revision in the wake of rising fuel prices.
Delhi Auto Rickshaw Sangh general secretary Rajendra Soni said they will also protest outside Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence on Civil Lines later in the day to press their demands.
Auto and cab driver unions have been demanding hike in fares and cut in CNG prices to cushion the impact of fuel price hike.
While most unions have said they will go on a one-day strike, Sarvodaya Drivers Association Delhi.
The city’s public transport system is complemented by over 90,000 autos and over 80,000 registered taxis.
