Ayurvedic College in Tepania, Homeopathy College Classes to Boost Tripura Healthcare

The Tripura government will take necessary steps to establish a medical university in the state, Chief Minister Manik Saha said on Tuesday. The Chief Minister also announced that an Ayurvedic College will be set up at Tepania in Gomati district next year, while classes at a Homeopathy College will begin from the 2026-27 academic session.

The Chief Minister made the announcement at an offer distribution programme for General Duty Medical Officers at Pragya Bhavan in Agartala.

The two-day state-level training workshop for dentists, surgeons and Community Health Officers also concluded on the occasion.

Saha said the government is working towards developing Tripura as a medical hub and highlighted the significant improvements made in the state’s healthcare infrastructure.

The Chief Minister urged the newly appointed doctors to work with dedication and fulfil the expectations of the people.
