Bacardi in India recently launched its premium blended whisky LEGACY in Kolkata, marking a significant milestone in the country’s culinary heritage. The event, held at The Oberoi Grand Kolkata, attracted key media and influencers to celebrate the first-ever made-in-India whisky innovation, showcasing the delectable blend of Indian culture and flavor.
Marking Bacardi’s foray into the India-made whisky segment, LEGACY is currently the only premium Indian whisky in the brand’s stable. It has a one-of-a-kind blend that combines Indian and Scottish malts with Indian grains, resulting in a rich blend layered with subtle peaty notes, fruity notes, and undertones of toasted oaks with a whiff of spice and a delicate vanillic smoky finish. Ayaesha Gooptu, Head of Domestic Spirits, Bacardi India, said, “We are thrilled about the journey ahead as we continue to introduce LEGACY across different cities in India.”
In November 2022, Bacardi introduced a new brown-spirit product in three sizes, embodying India’s culture and passion. This product is available in Maharashtra, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Assam Haryana, and Punjab, showcasing Bacardi’s commitment to India as a top priority market.
