Bandhan Bank has announced the appointment of Shantanu Sengupta as its Head – Retail Banking in India. He will be responsible for accelerating the growth of the retail franchise through the vast and growing distribution while leveraging the digital transformation agenda of the Bank in order to deliver a true ‘phygital’ experience for all customer segments.
Shantanu comes with 27 years of rich experiences in the Indian Banking & Financial Services Industry having served different leadership and client facing roles across multiple international banks like DBS, The Royal Bank of Scotland, ABN Amro Bank, Citibank & Bank of America in India.
Commenting on the appointment, Chandra Shekhar Ghosh, MD & CEO, Bandhan Bank, said “The Bank is at the cusp of transformation and we look forward to Shantanu’s leadership in driving this agenda further. On behalf of everyone at Bandhan Bank, I welcome Shantanu.” Shantanu has done a Master’s in Business Management from the University of Calcutta. He will be based in Kolkata and report to Chandra Shekhar Ghosh.
