These protests were fueled by recent comments from National Citizen Party officials regarding the Northeast region and allegations of attacks on the Hindu community in Bangladesh. Demonstrators called for action to safeguard the rights of religious minorities. Consequently, security measures around the Assistant High Commission have been intensified, and applicants are advised to await further updates on the resumption of services.
