Bank robbery stir in Malda, shot the cashier, snatched four and a half lakh rupees

The Malda Gajol Cooperative Bank robbery took place in broad daylight. The bank cashier sustained a gunshot wound while attempting to stop him. On Wednesday, robbers entered a cooperative bank in Ghazal, shot the cashier, and escaped with about four and a half lakh rupees. The police of Gajol police station rushed to the spot. There has been a stir in Bhardupur due to the robbery of the cooperative bank. The police believe that this daring robbery was pre-planned. The bank teller was shot dead by the robbers who detonated the bomb.

Today, Wednesday, around 2 pm, the incident took place at Krishnapur Cooperative Agricultural Development Society Bank in Gajol. After receiving the information about this incident, the police started an investigation. The police search operation is going on to find the absconding robbers. The bank cashier was shot in the stomach. The injured cashier was rushed to Gajol State General Hospital and was referred to Malda Medical College Hospital. Malda Superintendent of Police Pradeep Kumar Yadav said about this robbery, “Investigation has started into the whole matter.” The search for the culprits is being conducted based on the CCTV footage. And nose checking has started across the district.

According to a bank employee, about 7-8 robbers came into Bolero in front of the bank with firearms. Then he stopped the car and entered the bank with a pistol in his hand while wearing a mask on his face. Looted about 5 lakh rupees. The police chased the robbers. The bank cashier who was shot has been identified as Yogeshwar Mondal (35). A gold shop was recently robbed at Raniganj in West Burdwan. Then the shots are fired. After that, there was a robbery incident in Howrah Dome. Bihar-Jharkhand has joined in all these incidents. Some have been arrested from other states.

Moreover, it is understood that the incident of Gajol was pre-planned. The police are investigating whether Bihar or Jharkhand is behind the robbery. According to police sources, all the CCTV footage of this area is being examined. Trying to find out who is behind this incident. After the robbery, the police chased the robbers in that direction. It is also being seen whether the robbers are present in this state or have crossed the border into other states. Investigators believe that someone local is involved.
