The BCCI might are searching for an explanation from veteran keeper-batter Wriddhiman Saha about his current outburst targetting Board President Sourav Ganguly and head coach Rahul Dravid after being dropped from the Indian crew as it feels he violated the protocols for centrally-contracted cricketers.
It is learnt that Saha, who is crew B of central contracts with an annual retainership of Rs three crore, is in violation of clause 6.3.
“Player shall no longer make any remarks about the game, officials, incidents that befell in the game, use of technology, selection matters or any other be counted associated to the game which is in opinion of the BCCI is damaging to and /or not in the pastime of the game, team or BCCI in any media…,” the clause states.
The particular remarks that Saha made throughout media is on his decision and his personal conversations with Dravid, chairman of selectors Chetan Sharma and Ganguly.
“Yes, there is a possibility that BCCI may want to ask Wriddhiman as to how he spoke on resolution matters being a centrally contracted cricketer,” BCCI treasurer Arun Dhumal advised PTI on Thursday.
