Bhartia Infra Projects development works in North-East with Tata Motors

The Indian construction sector is on course to grow by 11.6% in CY2021. The growth has been driven by the resumption of construction activities across the country. The north-eastern region in India in particular has gained an increased emphasis from the government, with a renewed focus on infrastructural development in the region in tandem with the Act East policy. In November 2020, the government increased its allocation for road development in the region by 95%, pressing on the need to recommence pending infrastructural projects. This has encouraged the construction industry in the region to quickly shift gears and decisively recover in the successive months.

One such major construction player in the region is Bhartia Infra Projects Limited, who has been recently awarded the Gold Award in the National Highway Excellence Award for “Outstanding Work in Challenging Conditions.” Based out of Guwahati, Bhartia Infra Projects specialises in civil construction, with expertise in earthwork, building and irrigation, construction of roads, national highways, bridges, and underground tunnels. The company caters to a number of prominent clients, including the National Highway Association of India (NHAI), Public Works Department (PWD), as well as Indian Railways, and Tata Motors has played a fundamental role in their endeavours since the inception of the company in 1983.

Bhartia Infra Projects’ current fleet consists of over 400 trucks, out of which over 300 are of Tata Motors, with 82 tippers from the latest BS6 range. “Tata Motors has been a pillar of strength for Bhartia Infra Projects since the very beginning. Not only is this a testimony to the exceptional durability and quality of Tata Motors products, but also an apt symbol of the trust and mutual association we share with Tata Motors,” said Mr. Pawan Bhartia, Director, Bhartia Infra Projects.
