NPCI BHIM Services Limited (NBSL), a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), has introduced MyUPI, a conversational AI-powered assistant on the BHIM Payments App to provide round-the-clock support for UPI-related services. Launched by NPCI at Global Fintech Fest 2026, MyUPI enables users to view transaction history, raise and track complaints, manage UPI Autopay mandates, de-link their UPI Number and access fraud-awareness assistance through a single interface.
The service currently supports English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Bengali, with more regional languages planned. It is available under Quick Actions on the BHIM app, while all payment-related actions continue to require authentication through the UPI PIN.
MyUPI also allows users to verify a payee’s name by entering a UPI ID or uploading a QR code before payment. Users can pause, resume or cancel eligible Autopay mandates, identify mandate-based debits and re-initiate eligible P2P and P2M transactions, including those originally made through another UPI app, with fresh PIN authorisation.
The assistant also includes a Safety Switch to block a linked bank account in cases such as suspected compromise, lost phones or suspicious transactions, besides providing information on common UPI fraud methods.
NBSL MD and CEO Lalitha Nataraj said MyUPI aims to strengthen trust, accessibility and ease of use in digital payments.
