BJP core committee meeting held at Guwahati, Assam

On Monday, Assam Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) holds committee meeting at Vajpayee Bhawan, Giwahati. The top agenda of the meeting was leader Indrani Tahbildar’s suicidal case.

The meeting, chaired by Assam BJP chief Bhabesh Kalita, was attended by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, among others. 

According to the sources, due to the incident of Indrani the party is facing bad light in the state, Assam. Although the discussion about the case inside the meeting was not disclosed, the members are tight-lipped.

There are several issues going on inside the party, a few weeks back former Union Minister Rajen Gohain, due to delimitation process and rift between old and new BJP integral, other issues as well.

Also the committee decided party leaders will hold a ‘Sampark Abhiyan’ from the first week of September, in order to reach out to senior party leaders.
