Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha launched the BJP’s campaign for the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections at Khumulwng, expressing strong confidence in the party’s success. He attributed the anticipated victory to the people’s trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and emphasized the government’s commitment to the overall development of the tribal community. The rally, named ‘Janajati Empowerment and Tripura Empowerment,’ underscored the call for unity and support for Modi, asserting that only the BJP can deliver genuine development for the tribal population. The election process for the TTAADC, which covers 68 percent of Tripura’s geographical area, must conclude by April 18, with the TIPRA Motha Party (TMP), the current ruling party, contesting separately from the BJP, although they are allies. The polling date has yet to be announced.
