The flood situation in Assam showed signs of improvement on Sunday, but over 1.35 lakh people in five districts continue to remain affected by the deluge. According to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), three more deaths were reported from Sivasagar district, taking the total number of flood-related fatalities in the state this year to 85. The affected districts include Charaideo, Dhemaji, Golaghat, Jorhat and Sivasagar. Sivasagar remains the worst-hit district, with more than 55,000 people affected, followed by Charaideo and Jorhat. Tata Motors posts 37% jump in July commercial vehicle sales
