Normal life was affected in parts of Upper Subansiri district on Monday following a 12-hour bandh called by the Upper Subansiri district unit of the Frontier Highway Committee over the prolonged delay in completing the Subansiri bridge. Axis Bank Hikes FCNR(B) Rates as Banks Step Up Overseas Fund Mobilisation

Axis Bank, India’s third-largest private sector lender, has raised the interest rate on FCNR(B) deposits of more than $1 million to 6.40% for three- to five-year maturities, effective August 17, making it the highest rate offered by a large Indian bank.
